Welcome to SANAD ("SANAD," "we," "our," or "the Platform"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern
your access to and use of the SANAD mobile application, website, and all related digital healthcare
services. By accessing or using SANAD, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be
bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Platform.
1. Definitions
User — Any individual using the Platform, including patients, legal guardians, caregivers,
or authorized representatives.
Patient — Any individual receiving healthcare services or for whom a healthcare record has
been created within SANAD.
Healthcare Provider — Any licensed healthcare professional or organization providing
healthcare or healthcare-related services through SANAD, including physicians, nurses, laboratories,
pharmacies, radiology centers, home healthcare providers, and medical transportation providers.
Service Request — Any healthcare service requested through SANAD, including consultations,
home visits, laboratory tests, medication requests, medical transportation, or any other supported
healthcare service.
Invoice — The billing document issued for healthcare services provided through the
Platform, which may include insurance claims where applicable.
Health Information — Any medical, diagnostic, physiological, laboratory, prescription, or
health-related information associated with a user.
2. Scope of Services
SANAD is a digital healthcare platform designed to:
- Enable users to request healthcare services in person, at home, or remotely.
- Coordinate healthcare services among multiple providers.
- Maintain a unified electronic health record.
- Facilitate billing and insurance claim management where available.
- Support healthcare quality improvement through performance indicators and clinical coordination.
SANAD is not a healthcare provider and does not directly provide medical treatment. Instead, SANAD
facilitates access to healthcare services through licensed healthcare providers, where applicable.
3. Eligibility
By using SANAD, you represent and warrant that:
- You are legally authorized to use the Platform, or you are acting through a parent or legal guardian.
- All information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date.
- You will use the Platform only for lawful purposes.
4. User Account
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate account information.
- Protecting the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- Promptly notifying SANAD of any unauthorized access or suspected security breach.
SANAD reserves the right to suspend or restrict accounts containing misleading information or involved in
misuse of the Platform.
5. Healthcare Services and Medical Emergencies
SANAD is not an emergency medical service and should not be used as a substitute for emergency care.
If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, immediately call your local emergency services
(997 in Saudi Arabia) or proceed to the nearest emergency department.
6. Service Scheduling and Delivery
Healthcare providers may reschedule, postpone, or cancel appointments when clinically appropriate or when
circumstances beyond their control prevent service delivery, including but not limited to:
- Incomplete or inaccurate information
- Inability to reach the service location
- Safety concerns
- Operational limitations
SANAD will make reasonable efforts to notify users of any changes.
7. Fees, Pricing, and Payment
Healthcare services available through SANAD may be:
- Self-paid
- Fully covered by insurance
- Partially covered by insurance
Fees may include charges for third-party healthcare providers such as laboratories, pharmacies, radiology
services, and medical transportation providers.
Where applicable, SANAD may provide estimated pricing before service delivery; however, final charges may
vary depending on the services actually provided.
8. Insurance Coverage and Prior Authorization
By selecting insurance as your payment method, you authorize SANAD to submit the information necessary to
verify eligibility, obtain prior authorization, and process insurance claims through the applicable
official channels.
Insurance approval is not guaranteed, and users remain responsible for any costs not covered under their
insurance policy.
9. Appointment Cancellation and No-Show Policy
Cancellation fees may apply if:
- An appointment is cancelled after the permitted cancellation period.
- The user fails to attend the scheduled appointment.
- Service delivery cannot be completed due to an incorrect or inaccessible address.
Applicable charges will be communicated in accordance with the service policy.
10. Refund Policy
Refund requests are subject to SANAD's Refund Policy. Once a healthcare service has been fully delivered,
refunds may not be available except where required by applicable law or under exceptional circumstances
approved by SANAD.
11. Healthcare Provider Responsibilities
Healthcare providers are solely responsible for:
- Clinical assessment
- Medical diagnosis
- Treatment decisions
- Prescriptions
- Clinical documentation
SANAD is a technology platform and shall not be held responsible for medical decisions, professional
judgments, or clinical errors made by licensed healthcare providers.
12. Acceptable Use
Users agree not to:
- Commit fraud or deception
- Provide false or misleading information
- Upload forged or inaccurate documents
- Attempt unauthorized access to the Platform
- Interfere with system operations
- Impersonate another individual or organization
- Use the Platform in violation of applicable laws
Violation of these Terms may result in suspension or permanent termination of the user's account.
13. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, software, content, source code, databases, designs, graphics, and intellectual
property associated with SANAD are owned by or licensed to SANAD and are protected under applicable
intellectual property laws.
No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or used without prior written authorization.
14. Third-Party Services
SANAD may integrate with third-party services including healthcare providers, insurance companies, payment
gateways, mapping services, messaging providers, and other technology partners.
SANAD is not responsible for interruptions, delays, or policies associated with third-party services.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SANAD shall not be liable for losses, damages, or delays resulting
from:
- Service interruptions
- Delayed healthcare provider response
- Insurance claim rejection
- Incorrect information supplied by the user
- Technical failures beyond SANAD's reasonable control
- Actions or omissions of third-party service providers
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited under
applicable law.
16. Medical Disclaimer
SANAD is a digital healthcare coordination platform and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
All medical decisions, diagnoses, prescriptions, and treatment plans remain the sole responsibility of
licensed healthcare professionals. Information displayed within SANAD is intended to support healthcare
coordination and should not be interpreted as medical advice.
17. Cybersecurity and Data Protection
SANAD employs industry-standard administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect user
information. However, no electronic system can guarantee absolute security, and users acknowledge the
inherent risks associated with internet-based technologies.
18. Fraud Prevention and Insurance Claim Integrity
SANAD is committed to protecting patients, healthcare providers, insurance partners, and the integrity of
the healthcare system. Users are strictly prohibited from:
- Intentionally providing false medical information.
- Uploading forged, altered, or misleading documents.
- Requesting healthcare services for fraudulent financial benefit.
- Manipulating insurance approvals or claims.
- Misusing the Platform for unlawful purposes.
Where fraud or abuse is suspected, SANAD reserves the right to:
- Suspend or cancel service requests.
- Suspend or permanently terminate user accounts.
- Decline future service requests.
- Suspend, investigate, or terminate accounts suspected of fraudulent, abusive, unlawful, or unauthorized
activities, and cooperate with competent governmental authorities, healthcare regulators, and insurance
companies where required by law.
- Preserve digital evidence.
- Cooperate with insurance companies, regulatory authorities, and law enforcement agencies where legally
required.
19. Data Sharing
By using SANAD, you acknowledge and agree that SANAD may collect, process, and share the minimum necessary
personal and health information required to deliver healthcare services. Your information may be shared,
when necessary, with:
- Licensed healthcare providers (physicians, nurses, laboratories, pharmacies, radiology centers, and
medical transportation providers)
- Insurance companies and claims administrators
- Technology service providers (including payment processors, messaging services, cloud hosting, mapping
services, and cybersecurity providers)
Such information will be shared solely for purposes including delivering requested healthcare services,
coordinating patient care, verifying insurance eligibility and obtaining prior authorization, processing
billing and insurance claims, and improving service quality, operational efficiency, and patient safety.
SANAD will not disclose your personal or health information for purposes unrelated to healthcare delivery
unless required by law or with your explicit consent.
20. Recording of Communications
Where permitted by applicable laws and, where required, with the user's consent, SANAD may monitor or
record certain communications for quality assurance, patient safety, training, fraud prevention, and legal
compliance. These communications may include in-app messaging, voice calls, video consultations, customer
support interactions, and care coordination communications.
Such recordings may be used for quality assurance, staff training, complaint investigation, patient safety,
legal and regulatory compliance, and protection of the rights of all parties. If you prefer not to use
certain communication channels, alternative methods may be available within the Platform where applicable.
21. Suspension or Termination of Services
SANAD reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Platform
or any part of its services at any time, including but not limited to:
- Scheduled maintenance
- System upgrades
- Security concerns
- Violation of these Terms and Conditions
- Fraudulent or unlawful activities
Where reasonably possible, users will be notified in advance of planned service interruptions.
22. Changes to the Terms and Conditions
SANAD reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any material modifications will be
communicated through the Platform, website, or other appropriate communication channels before they become
effective. Your continued use of SANAD following the publication of updated Terms constitutes your
acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must discontinue using the
Platform.
23. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia. Any dispute arising from the use of SANAD shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction
of the competent courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
